5th Meeting of Haryana State Higher Education Council

The 5th meeting of the Council was held on 28 April 2026 at the PWD Rest House, Panchkula. The meeting marked an important step towards strengthening the vision and development of higher education through collaborative planning and policy discussions. The Hon’ble Education Minister graced the occasion as Chief Guest. “PARISHAD SAMVAD” Quarterly newsletter of the Council and the Vision & Mission Document, highlighting the Council’s commitment towards academic excellence, innovation, and quality enhancement in higher education institutions were launched. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), between the Council and Wadhwani Foundation that aimed at fostering cooperation and promoting strategic initiatives for the advancement of higher education was also signed.
During the meeting, 16 important agendas items related to higher education were deliberated upon in detail. Discussions focused on improving academic standards, strengthening institutional frameworks, promoting research and innovation, enhancing student support systems, and implementing progressive educational reforms in alignment with national priorities.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work towards the holistic development of higher education and to ensure effective implementation of the Council’s future initiatives and action plans.
