Workshop on Indian Knowledge System

A one-day workshop on the Bhartiya Gyan Prampara (Indian Knowledge System) was organised on 27 September 2025 by the Haryana State Higher Education Council in collaboration with Rishihood University, Sonipat. The objective of the workshop was to effectively integrate the Indian Knowledge System into the higher education curriculum in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Faculty members, experts, and officials from various universities participated in the programme and deliberated on practical ways to incorporate Indian philosophy, yoga, Ayurveda, Indian languages, and traditional knowledge into teaching and learning processes.

Special emphasis was laid in different sessions of the workshop on the preparation of study material, curriculum development, and making teaching–learning practices more value-based. Participants shared their ideas and suggestions, which helped provide clear direction for the development of useful and well-structured academic content in the future. The workshop provided new direction and inspiration to teachers and strengthened the process of integrating the Indian Knowledge Tradition with the modern education system.
