Workshop on Multidisciplinary Education as per NEP-2020

With the objective of sensitizing and mentoring academic leaders and faculty members on the foundational principles of Multidisciplinarity as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Council organized a One-Day Workshop on “Multidisciplinary Education as per NEP 2020.” in collaboration with Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind.

This workshop aimed to build conceptual clarity and provide practical guidance to institutions and educators for transforming Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) into multidisciplinary ecosystems in alignment with NEP 2020. The workshop covered topics for understanding the in-principle concept of Multidisciplinarity as outlined in NEP 2020 and its relevance to holistic and flexible learning pathways; discussion on the practical “do-ables” — actionable steps that institutions and faculty can undertake to introduce and strengthen multidisciplinary approaches; and explored multiple models and strategies for achieving the core characteristics of a multidisciplinary HEI.

The workshop was attended by the Vice Chancellors of State-funded universities along with their respective Dean Academic Affairs and NEP Nodal Officer. The workshop was graced by Hon’ble Governor, Haryana, as the Chief Guest and the Hon’ble Education Minister, Haryana.
